China Aoxing Pharmaceutical Company received SFDA approval to begin a clinical trial of Tilidine/Naloxone capsules, a narcotic drug for moderate to severe pain. The drug is given to alleviate cancer and post-surgical pain. China Aoxing plans to begin the clinical trial by the end of this year, and expects to receive final approval of the drug in 2011. China Aoxing Pharmaceutical Company was awarded an SFDA production license for Paracetamol (acetaminophen) and Caffeine Tablets, a treatment for mild to moderate pain. Although the new product will be marketed as an OTC drug, it is considered a controlled substance by the SFDA. China Aoxing is one of a relatively few companies that is licensed to manufacture narcotic and controlled substance pain medication drugs in China.
